Farm Boy, fetch me that pitcher.

Buttercup

Which Princess Bride Character are You?
this quiz was made by mysti

*As seen at MysteryMommy.

It must be time to watch The Princess Bride again. It's been a while since we've watched that extremely rewatchable (and quotable!) movie.

If you haven't read the book, I recommend it. It's delightful, and the movie (obviously) doesn't cover everything.

Hmmm... I ended up Fezzik. Considering that we're married, it would have been much more appropriate if I had ended up as Wesley, wouldn't it? Oh well... maybe the movie got it wrong, and she really should have married Fezzik in the end.

On second thought, that doesn't seem quite right. :)

You're a lot smarter than Fezzik, anyway. :)

Haven't taken the quiz yet, but I put off reading the book because I thought the movie came first. And books made from movies are worse than movies made from books. At least the movies have a chance.

But I purchased it on a whim a while back, and it is even more delightful.

Some people look to The Godfather as a metaphor for life. I look to The Princess Bride. Thanks for mentioning the book. I'm now looking forward to Buttercup's Baby. :)

I could see the characters in the possible answers to the questions, but I nevertheless tried to answer honestly, and, to my surprise, I am Valerie. "Valerie?" you might say. Yes, Valerie: "The chocolate coating makes it go down easier."

So, after some deep contemplation and soul searching, I've realized that the entire plot hinges on Valerie, the unsung heroine. Would Miracle Max have made the pill without her? Probably not. Would it have gone down without that vital chocolate coating? Definitely not. No Valerie, no Westley. It's a simple as that.

Ah, to be Fezzik. :)

Carson, the book definitely came before the movie, and is pretty good quality and delightful, IMHO. :)

Kevin, that's so funny that you're Valerie! She's actually one of my favorite characters--she values truth, tells it like it is, and is spunky. What's not to like?

From the 12-lines in the movie that we were exposed to her, I liked her. She's fun but a minor character that I didn't have much emotional attachment to.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the qualities she represents, and it could have been worse.
