Name?

I finally got some pictures of the dog that turned out halfway decent today.

We really need to figure out a new name for her. It doesn't need to sound like "Baby"--in fact, it might be better if it didn't. It can't be the same name as any person or dog among our family and friends, so any common human names are probably taken.

Ideas are welcome!

Hi PK, WOW she sounds like a rather exceptional dog you have there.

I have 2 dogs, Trixie who is 10 years old and is a Staffie cross Kelpie and is wonderful. She is soooo obedient and so gentle. Our other dog is Tanzie she is now 2 years old and is a Kelpie cross Border Collie and is also very obedient and very gentle nature. You are most welcome to use either of those names. The first dog we had was called Sarah she was alo a Staffie Cross Kelpie and taught Trixie all she knows and Trixie in turn has taught Tanzie. Sarah was an exceptiona age when w had to put her to sleep, 20 years old and although she was still healthy, her dementia had gotton really bad and didn't look like she was enjoying life anymore so we did the kindest thing we could for her. The cat we had, Mitten was also 20 years old, also reasonably well but her kidneys were failing and there was nothing they could do for her, so again we decided we shouldn't hang on to her until she got really sick and not enjoying life.

I don't know that I would ever want to be without a pet. We didn't replace Mitten as we have a lot of native birds that nest in our gardens and we didn't thinkit fair to either the birds or the cat.

I really hope you get a lot of enjoyment from your new family member and that the girls have a great friend and companion. She sounds like she wil be of great assistance to yourself when you have shown her what you want from her.

Take Care
Lots of Love Carolynn xxx :-)

I don't know, Gretchen was the first thing that come to mind. If we don't want anything sounding like Baby then anything with an "e" sound at the end is out, right? How about Esther? Grace?

I found this from this page-
"Simone - Hebrew - A person who obeys. This dog excels at any obedience training."

I'm SO glad she is working out exactly like you were hoping for. I'll admit I thought to myself it was somewhat a tall order for a dog, that it would have to be one exceptional dog, but you sure got her! I'm amazed at this dog's talents and so thankful that she will be able to help you and truly be an asset for your family. (((hugs)))

btw, my blog name/ link has changed. I noticed in your sidebar I was still 'Wonder Wendy' ;o) You've been by the new one haven't you? I'm thinking so at least!!

(I had to comment twice so I could sub to the thread...)
