My sister Amy entered the weekly challenge contest at faithwriters.com for the theme "Thanksgiving"--and she won first prize for Level 1 and received the second-place Editors' Choice award for all levels.

Neat story. I like the undertones of how our desires may not always be what is best and how God works all things together for good to those that love Him and are called to His purpose. She packed a lot into that short story.

I am planning on entering the challenge each week, if I have time. The Faith Writer's site has really encouraged my writing and has helped me learn to be more concise. And it is so fun to get all the nice feedback from other members and readers! :-)
