Loose Tooth

M&M has a loose tooth. She is beside herself with excitement that not only does she have her first loose tooth--but she has the first EVER loose tooth of a child in our family. She keeps talking about it, giggling about it, and singing little songs about it.

AJ, on the other hand, is devastated that M&M got a loose tooth before she did.

Being happy for one child while consoling the other; one of the great challenges of parenting.

I was amazed at how much inflation has caught up with the toohe fairies lately !!!

I'm in my 50's and still have all my 6d and 5c pieces that I got from the tooth fairy. I believe most little ones spend their tooth money these days. My intention had been to get them al drilled and placed on a bracelet but I am allergic to any metals other than pure gold or pure titanium so have just kept them as a momento.

Mira certainly sounds like she is going to be an amazing asset to you and your family, she has ceratinly been sent to you for a reason.

Take Care
Lots of Love Carolynn :-)

Thanks, Amy. You're the second or third person who has tagged me for that one, so I should probably do it soon. :)

Carolyn, no worries on typos here. I make typos in my posts often enough. :)

M&M says that the going rate for the tooth fairy is 25 cents, and that DH and I have to be the tooth fairy and put it under her pillow. I guess she has it all figured out.

You know my kids believed the tooth fairy, well, Hannah still does, but Jackson morphed out of it around 8, after he was finished losing teeth. Hannah has had 7 missing in the past year. At one point she had three on top and two on bottom missing! Her speech is coming back around well, I feared we'd have to put her in therapy but phonics work alone is working well for her. We have a very special tooth fairy though- she writes notes and reminds them she can't visit unless their room is cleaned up so she can get to their bed ;o)

Poor AJ! No worries though... you can let her know she's not the only 7-year-old still waiting to lose her first too. My 7-year-old is impatiently waiting for that first visit from the tooth fairy too!

Well, I neglected to mention our tooth fairy after Hannah started losing teeth upped the ante by accidentally setting the standard of $5 a tooth, too. Thank dh for that. Hannah's first tooth she lost, we didn't have anything smaller, I voted to wait a night, but he didn't want her to have to wait cause she was so excited. So, they have to have a spic and span room, but they get $5 for the tooth too. We have some FUNNY stories- one time Jackson left a note under Hannah's pillow asking for $5 too ;o) LOL!
