Moment of Silence

For those who have suffered and died in natural and man-made disasters, and those who survived.

A week ago Saturday the announcer at the Michigan football stadium asked for a minute of silence. 110,000 people in there, and you could have heard a pin drop.

Strangely (I'm not a huge sports fan), I also happened to be in the stadium for the first game after 9/11. I remember the same thing. Rowdy students and all.

A minute of silence is such a powerful thing.
