M&M Reads "Cowboy Sam and Dandy"

I can't believe how much M&M's reading has improved in just a couple of weeks. A week and a half ago she could read only simple cvc (consonant-vowel-consonant) combinations, and now she's reading words like "cowboy," "horse," "soon" and "eating."

That's awesome!!!!! Especially, when I think of the 19 kids in my preschool class at the homeschool coop (ages 2-6)!! Your kids are going to just take off with homeschooling!!

Hugs, Colleen :-) ;-) :-)

p.s. I found a curriculum at Barnes & Noble and it's allowing me to implement a few montessori principles - kids make choices from activities provided in different subjects geared toward multiple intelligences & learning styles (we start with circle time to introduce the theme and end with a reflection circle). It's PERFECT - a particular boy who was shy found enough things he liked that he beamed up at me last thursday!

Wowee!

LMNOB's school does the Open Court Reading curriculum, and it's working really well for her. They do "sight" words, as well as phonics, and she has really latched on to the sight words.

It's fun to watch them learn and grow, huh?
