About Me
- Name: purple_kangaroo
- Location: United States
I'm a creative, intense, honest and adventurous person with a love for God and people.
DH (Dear Husband) and I have been married 15 years and have 4 girls: AJ, age 13; M&M, age 12; Ebee, who is 9; and Baby Nae, born in December 2013.
God has been faithful to sustain us despite my health challenges (which include fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (ME), migraines, a genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and occasional extra fun twists like the year I had mono on top of it all. :)
Since removing excitotoxins from my diet as part of a clinical research study in 2009, my health has improved considerably.
Ebee has grown out of her food allergies and intolerances, and all four kids are happy, healthy and doing great. We're in a season of enjoying life very much right now.
Thanks for visiting!

Wow!
Your much better at that digging thing then I would. Mine would be all crooked and then....I probably would get frustrated and give up
That is very similar to the playset we built. The girls love it!
We decked in the bottom section to provide more of a "house" feel.
That is one lovely hole. I mean it -- no sarcasm -- it looks so neat and square and, of course, level.
The play structure looks wonderful. I know your kids will have a fantastic time on it. SG was just saying this morning that she wishes we had a bigger yard so we could have a structure. She would weep with jealousy if she saw this.
Hey, that was me. I thought my whole name was in the little box.
awesome...in several regards.
1.) architecturally - ditto the straight and level comments
2.) kids look happy - and probably slept well that night?
3.) to see "just life" from you and be able to cautiously assume that despite all the angst of the "non-allergic reactions" (yes I've been a bad, bad, lurker, but reading all the same!) you must have turned a corner for to not be consuming all of your lives....Am I in target range at all there?
Plus, having seen all of this year's journey for you, has been cause for admiration...and now, a great model of a parent advocate, as I am embarking on assessments and evaluations of my own child.
(hugs)

Thanks, Liz and My4kids.
CCW, I've been thinking of enclosing the bottom part too, for more of a playhouse feel. On the other hand, it's nice to be able to see the kids well from the kitchen window. :)
Madeline, it's too bad you're not close enough to bring SG over to play on our structure.
Ham, thanks for the insightful comments. We've actually been out of the all-consuming phase with Baby E's allergies longer than the blog seems to reflect, since I was kind of using the blog as a record of E's reactions. But you're right, we are getting to a better, more normal place and enjoying life more. It feels really good.
