Welcome, Baby E!

Finally!

After the epidural this morning, Angela had another 2 hours of contractions before she was ready to push. During that time, she was able to rest. In a matter of minutes she went from being afraid of an epidural, to being ready to grant sainthood to whoever invented them. :)

Next came nearly two hours of all-out pushing. Baby E was certainly stubborn! Finally, after all that, E gave up the fight and came out.

At this point, Angela is exhausted... but happy. Baby E is healthy and alert... and big: 8 lb 13 oz, more than a pound bigger than either of our other children at birth. I'm sure Angela will have far more to say... when she wakes up. :)
