May Flowers

The roses are in full bloom in our yard. This is the best year we've had so far. The bushes are loaded with large, beautiful, fragrant blossoms. This week we picked huge bouquets of roses, with blooms from the herb plants blended in.

Beautiful! I am in awe of your gardening ability since I kill every plant that I come near. I'm quite jealous, because I love roses.

The girls are all beautiful, too! Gosh, they're getting so big! It seems like Baby E was just born yesterday!

Thanks, Liz.

Klee, I don't know that I'd say I have any particular "gardening ability". I just stick the plants in the ground and mostly ignore them. :) It does seem like just yesterday since E was born, and she's not even really a baby now!

Lovely. I just went and bought a couple of 'America's favourite easy to grow' roses. Can't figure out why they didn't have a name!
Cheers

Those flowers are gorgeous! I love roses but have never tried to grow them for fear of rapidly killing them.

The girls all look so tall. A beautiful trio!

Those are amazing. That's the biggest rose I've ever seen- they all look like the wonderful fragrant old-fashioned kind too!

Wendy, yes it is precious to have the photos and memories.

McEwen and CCW: roses, in my experience, are actually quite hard to kill. I bought two rose plants last year and never got around to planting them. It took months of sitting in a plastic bag with no water for them to completely die.

Jenevieve, thanks.

Jenny F, yes they are very fragrant. I love the old-fasioned kind of roses. We're going for the English Cottage Garden look, to go with the Victorian-style turret on the house. :)

Michelle, that would be fun.
